Storing and processing bulk material often involves a high amount of dust formation for companies active in the waste disposal industry. Local dust suppression offers a meaningful alternative wherever dust collection using extraction hoods is not feasible, e.g., in receiving areas, during loading and unloading or further transport. Our highly effective two-component systems are used to spray water fog created through atomization on a selective basis in trouble areas, and thus ensure effective dust suppression. This helps to considerably minimise impairments for people and machines as well as the wear and tear of work equipment.
Operating principle
S&B two-component systems mix "two components", i.e., water and compressed air in a selective way so as to create a very fine fog. To allow this, an electronic control supplies water to the fogging points, while a tapered line cross-section accelerates the water flow (Venturi principle). Compressed air is fed to the fogging nozzles and cuts the water into very fine fog which leads to an enormous enlargement of its surface. This larger surface increases the system's binding force and effectiveness. And it also reduces water consumption.
Different variants of atomization units like spray bars or fog canons will be used depending on every application. The water hose is electrically heated and insulated to ensure functionality.
