Angular bag filters complement S&B's dust extraction programme with a compact and less expensive offer. The filters nevertheless convince with their performance and with their capability to meet the emission values specified. With their modular setup, bag filters can be adapted individually to suit customer requirements and mounting conditions.

Operating principle

Dust-laden raw gas enters the filter through the raw gas inlet. Inside the filter, a baffle plate with a specific design is used to evenly distribute the gas. Dust is effectively separated at the outside of the filter bag while clean gas is led off through the bag's inside.

The reliable and electronically controlled removal of the secondary dust layer at the outside of the bag is done by giving compressed-air pulses which are introduced into the bag openings through an air nozzle pipe during operation in the cleaning mode (jet cleaning).

Technical specifications

Nominal airflow  4,000-30,000 m³/h per filter unit
(To increase the volumetric flow rate, several filter units can be installed in parallel)
Airborne particulate emission in clean gas 2-5 mg/m³ (lower residual dust content possible if needed)
Variants (overall width) ES-200, ES-400
Equipment features
  • Filter bags made of polyester needle felt or other material as required
  • Possible implementation of different overall heights and discharge systems
  • Minimum material usage allowing lightweight design
  • Raw and clean gas openings providing convenient access to the interior space
Benefits
  • Effective dust extraction while keeping capital expenditure, operating and maintenance costs low
  • Observing target emission rates, reducing health impairments, and guaranteeing the required process conditions
  • Small footprint due to upright construction
  • High form stability
